This breathtaking Australian Sapphire came from a 22ct rough piece that was hand-mined on our mining claim in the Gemfields, Qld. We knew this piece was going to be special as soon as it came out of the wash-plant! On a closer inspection, we did find a few cracks in the blue section revealing once cut, a Golden yellow sapphire with a slice of smooth blue down one end. This Bi-colour sapphire has a prominent straight divided between the blue and yellow colours creating a striking Golden sapphire with subtle flashes of blue/teal bouncing around the stone with movement. The clarity of the yellow is just mind blowing, an amazing natural sapphire that deserves to be shown off!
